All packages include….

We document the entire evening with a wedding reception planner. This is sent to you weeks before your wedding, documenting what will happen and when. It gives you time to “fine tune “the wedding reception. Copies are given to the facility manager, the photographer, and master and mistress of ceremonies. It documents your hand picked music, your black list, your wedding party entrance and music, your first dance, father-daughter, mother-son, toasts, cake cutting, and everything that you have selected for the most important evening in your life.

On top of all the above we are a licensed company with a $1,000,000 insurance policy to cover any unforeseen liability and accidents. Most DJ’s are running their business as a part time hobby. We run ours as a full time, fully insured company. We take our business very seriously.

Options and Extras:

Wedding Ceremony – A West Michigan Exclusive
We can provide the same sound system for your indoor or outdoor ceremony. We will provide the wedding ceremony music (customized by you, of course). We will use our special Shure Wireless Microphones so that the Bride, Groom and Officiate are heard crystal clear by all your wedding ceremony guests. We also can provide mic stands for your wedding singers or live music. All of this for an unbelievable price of $125.

HD Video Projection Equipment – A West Michigan Exclusive
We can project your slide show on to the biggest screen using our $4000 Ultra HD video equipment. This projector uses the TI DSP system which is exactly the same as used locally at all Celebration Cinema theaters. As the show is running, your music audio is fed though our sound system. Price: $60. With video screen, if needed: Price: $75
Gobo – Your Names in Lights
Because we use state of the art lighting systems, you can have your names displayed during your wedding reception. We can put the display on the ceiling, walls, or virtually anywhere. Please ask for a demo and we will show you other wedding receptions that enjoyed this light display in many colors. Price: $85.

We recommend for you to meet us. We call it a “meet and greet”. You meet your entertainer …. THE person who will work with you for the many months to come. It is a time to ask questions. We bring to the meeting pictures of our lighting system, computers to show you our digital music library and music software, and our reference book with all the brides’ comments after their wedding. This meeting usually takes about one hour. You do not have to commit to having Dream Productions…. It is a way for you to interview us… to see if we are what you want. You can set up an appointment for a meeting by contacting us on the phone or e-mail.

When you are ready, we are ready:

When you are ready to ensure the date and ensure this special price, you would then send us a deposit of $150.00 and sign the Dream Productions contract. This deposit applies towards the full price. The remaining balance is due prior to your wedding date. We provide a stamped return envelope to return the contract and deposit. Just let us know that you are ready.

Once a Dream Productions Customer:

You will then receive a receipt for your deposit and your copy of the contract. After that, you will receive a welcome package with a document of suggestions for music broken down by category.

One month or earlier before your wedding you will be contacted to set up the planning session.

After the planning meeting, you will be sent the wedding reception planner for you to “fine tune”.

If you need to meet again… we will make as many meetings as you like.

2What services do you offer?

Dream Productions offer four packages. All include up to 7 hours of music and fun with West Michigan’s best and award winning wedding entertainers. This includes our fully customized music and detailed planning of your reception. The packages only differ in lights and presentation NOT in the outstanding quality of our Wedding Entertainers and the customization and personalized service. Because Dream Productions has the reputation for providing the most amazing light displays in the state of Michigan, we offer four levels for you to decide based on your needs and budget. Wedding packages are: • The “Dream Wedding” • The “Fantasy Wedding” • The “Fairytale Wedding” • The “Fairytale Elite”

3How much is the deposit / down payment & when is it due?

The down payment, which is the initial payment is $150, is due at the time you sign the Dream Productions contact. That contract locks in your date and locks in the Wedding entertainer / DJ you have selected.

4When is the final payment due?

The final payment is due at the final planning session which is held usually within one month prior to your Wedding.

5Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. We carry a Zurich Business Insurance $1,000,000 policy liability insurance and are happy to provide proof when necessary.

6How long have you been DJ’ing professionally?

All of our wedding entertainers have been DJ’ing weddings for over 10 years each. They are extremely outstanding at “reading the crowd”… which is varying the music based on the time in the evening, the age of the guests, and who is dancing at the time. Please see the “Meet the Dream Productions Wedding DJs/ Entertainers” page for a bio and picture of each.

7How far ahead do we need to book you?

We often book up 6-12 months in advance, but sometimes we can accommodate last minute bookings. Please don’t wait too long to book us. There are plenty of times potential clients think about it for too long, then come back to find out we have been booked for their date already.

8If my DJ does a great job and I want to tip, can I or should I?

Tips go directly to the Wedding Entertainer / DJ and it is the best way to show them it was an awesome job well done. Our thoughts are “Tips are NEVER expected but ALWAYS greatly appreciated.” Please keep in mind that we would like to hear from you about what you liked and thought about your DJ. If you had a great experience please let everyone know by writing a review at Wedding Wire, The Knot or in Google Reviews. Most certainly we want to hear if anything was negative as well. It’s our way of continually improving ourselves as the #1 Wedding DJ business in West Michigan.

9Why are you comfortable MC’ing & making announcements?

Yes, we are confident & skilled MCs. We are never overly enthusiastic, fake, phony or false on the mic and we never say things just to be the center of attention. If the crowd needs motivating, we motivate accordingly. If everything is great and guests are having fun, we let the moment be. Some people want a DJ who acts like a comedian the whole night and gives out party favors – that’s not us. We are friendly, genuine MCs who create a perfect flow and keep your guests happy with the dance floor filled the whole night though.

10How do we pick the music?

There are several ways to pick the music. Once you book us, you will have a planning form where you can select songs for various portions of your event (i.e. Cocktails, The Wedding Party Entrance, Dinner, Bride and Groom’s first dance, Cake Cutting, General Dancing, and many others), as well as create a “Do Not Play” list. Most clients fall into one of three categories when it comes to music selection, all of which are great! They want to choose some of the music, while giving us room to read the crowd and pick like minded songs. 3. They want to choose most of the music.

11How big is your music library? What genres do you cover?

We have a huge music library of over 50,000 songs. We can cover any genre/style. If you request music we don’t already have, we buy it at no additional charge. By default, we will play olny clean Radio Edits of music… unless you want us to play the naughty versions…. That’s up to you.

12Do you have pictures or videos of events you have DJ’d?

Better than that, we have videos and photos for you to check out. They are all accessible from our website here on our Wedding DJ Gallery.

13If you were unable to perform, would you find a replacement?

Yes. Dream Productions has seven Wedding Entertainers / DJs. We have four complete light and sound systems. However we never book more than four Weddings in one day or night. So any of the other can and will fill in. But just so you know, in over 14 years, we have never missed any event.

14Are we guaranteed to have YOU as our DJ?

Yes, our contracts are DJ specific. Unlike others in West Michigan, we don’t have a list of 10 - 30 DJs. It makes one wonder who all these guys are? We keep are DJs busy with events all year. Some companies will have so many guys that one wonders when was the last time they actually DJ’ed? You know who you are booking when you sign a contract with our entertainer.

15What size space do you require for your DJ station?

We can work with you to fit your needs. The smallest is a six foot long table, normally that is covered and skirted.

16How much time do you need for setup, takedown etc?

We need at least one hour before and after an event. We prefer two hours before & one hour after. And, of course you DO NOT pay for any of this time.

17Do you have backup generators and equipment?

Yes. We have backup speakers, microphones, music libraries, lights and all other items. We have TWO gas powered electric generators which can be used free of charge if you lose power at your Wedding Reception. Think that will never occur? Think AGAIN! Last October all of south and west side Grand Rapids was without power on a Saturday afternoon and evening. Our weddings had generators on site and running in 30 minutes! One time lighting hit and the venue was without power …. We saved the day!
